About the Department

The Engineering team at Shobdotori is responsible for building the backbone of our online bookstore platform. You’ll work on scalable backend systems, robust APIs, high-performance databases, and innovative features that serve thousands of readers and authors. Engineers collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other teams to turn ideas into functional, reliable, and secure solutions. This team thrives on problem-solving, automation, and continuous improvement, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn cutting-edge technologies while shaping the future of online book commerce in Bangladesh.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to build scalable APIs and database systems.

In this Role, You Will:

Design, develop, and maintain server-side logic and APIs.
Optimize applications for performance and scalability.
Ensure security and data protection best practices.
Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.

We are seeking someone with experience including:

- 3+ years experience - Node.js, Express, Sequelize, MySQL

Compensation

40000-70000 BDT/month

Exact amount will be finalized based on skills, experience, and overall performance during the selection process.
